Hossein Khosrojerdi

Born in Tehran in 1957, Hossein Khosrojerdi graduated from the College of Fine Arts and was among the founding members of the Iranian Society of Painters. He has had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in international exhibits in Copenhagen, Kuwait, New Delhi, Leiden, Sharejeh, Baku, Paris, Islamabad, Damascus, Boston, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Venice, Zagreb, Kiev, Beijing and Shanghai.

In Iran he had numerous solo and group shows, including Tehran 65 Group Exhibition, two solo exhibitions in Isfahan as well as exhibitions in Shiraz, Rasht, Yasuji, Khorramabad, Yazd, Zahedan, Ahwaz, Kerman, Kermanshah and Tabriz.

He was awarded and acclaimed at the following international art events: Fifith International Biennial of Visual Arts in Sharejeh (where he won the Grand Prize), 50th Venice International Visual Arts Biennial, two editions of Lalitkala International Art Biennial (winning Plaque of Honor) and International Poster Biennial held under the title “Peace” (winning Plaque of Honor).
Khosrojerdi was jury member at a number of local and international art exhibitions-biennials.
